Demi Shields

Demi Shields was raised in Cedar City, Utah where she trained in various styles of dance for 13 years. She was admitted to Brigham Young University on a dance sterling scholarship award. While there, she majored in dance performance and had the opportunity to perform around the world with the school's top touring contemporary company, Contemporary Dance Theatre. There, she worked with professional choreographers from around the globe. She had the opportunity to dance in the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing, China, compete with her team in the Prague New Dance Festival where they won the Grande Prix Award, and take part in various dance festivals throughout the country with pieces being accepted into the final galas. She not only graduated on a full ride dance department scholarship, but received awards such as "Outstanding Performer" and "Dancers Choice Award". Demi is currently apprenticing for SALT and is loving every moment of it.
