Elissa Butler

Dancer

 

Elissa began her dance training in her hometown of Pleasant Grove, Utah, where she studied a variety of styles of dance with a focus in classical ballet. At 15, she joined Utah Regional Ballet 2 and performed for 3 seasons under the direction of Jacqueline Colledge. 

 

Elissa recently received her BFA in Ballet and Minor in Psychology from the University of Utah, where she trained 4 years under full-tuition scholarship. Elissa has performed internationally in Moscow, Russia, and Seoul, South Korea as part of dance-culture exchange programs. Elissa has trained under full scholarship at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance summer programs for 2 years, and has also trained with members of professional classical and contemporary companies including Lines Ballet Company, Batsheva Dance Company, Joffrey Ballet, The Forsythe Company, The Foundry, Atlanta Ballet, and Ballet West.

 

Elissa is currently on faculty at Just Dance Academy, and Aspire Dance Academy. Elissa is excited for her first season with SALT Contemporary Dance.
